Stalker Films is an independent production company of innovative film & television, based in Dublin, Ireland.

 

About Stalker Films

Stalker Films was founded in 2011 with the aim of producing ground-breaking Irish film and television for the domestic and international markets.

In its first year Stalker Films produced three feature films and won several awards, including Runner-Up at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2012 and 2013, as well as Winner of the Underground Cinema Film Festival 2013.

In 2017 Cardboard Gangsters picked up three awards at the Manchester International Film Festival: Best Actor (John Connors), Best Feature Film, and Film of the Festival. It also won Outstanding Achievement in Film-making at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California. John Connors subsequently won ‘Best Actor’ at Ireland’s prestigious ‘IFTA’ awards. ‘Cardboard Gangsters’ is currently screening on Netflix Worldwide.

Darklands, a six-part crime drama, screened in Ireland and the UK in 2019 and is currently selling worldwide, most recently (May 2020) to SBS Australia.

Our People

Mark O'Connor, Writer; Director
Mark is an award winning writer-director of 3 feature films and 30 short films. A graduate of the National Film School at IADT and the New York Film Academy, his debut feature ‘Between the Canals’ was released in cinemas throughout Ireland in 2011 to critical acclaim. His second film ‘King of the Travellers’ received a UK and Irish cinema release as well as worldwide festivals selections. ‘Stalker,’ Mark's third feature film, won The Underground Film Festival in 2013, the Runner Up Prize at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2012 and was selected for festivals throughout Europe and America.
